Name relations tree[edit | edit source]
Like the family tree, but marginally less confusing!
Other name origins[edit | edit source]
etc etc
- The 'hime' in Himeka means "princess". This is referenced in the opening song.
- Jin's given name is written with a kanji that means "god" (usually read as "kami"). Geez, Kirihiko.
Station and train line-based names[edit | edit source]
Quite a few surnames are taken from train lines or stations, as well as the name of the school.
- Hanazono
- Kujyou
- Karasuma is a line and a station.
- Sakurai is a city... close enough?
- Kuga
- Sakuragaoka
- It's also the name of the Faculty of Medicine campus of Kagoshima University, as well as a real life high school (or maybe just the one in K-on, not sure)
- BONUS ROUND: Name the city Seiseki or Sekido, or after some other line/station in Kyoto.
- Is Seiei from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Seiei_College ? Might hint at the city being named Sakuragaoka. I'm not sure what "seiei" actually means, by the way. Please send help.
