Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Karin whips up a batch of eel never-mind-I-don't-want-to-know. Nyake's apparently already learned to fear her cooking.
  • Himeka wears her half-moon necklace throughout most of the episode. I don't think she'd been seen wearing it too much beforehand... given that and the complete change in her condition, I wonder if the necklaces don't have something to do with the connection between the Himekas. Himeka2 wears hers almost constantly.
  • Karin's first two ideas for Kazune's "freaky dressup" plot are her seashell bikini from ep 14 and her disguise from ep 15.
  • Micchi says the only other time his ring reacted was on the day Kazuto died.
  • Micchi's flashback briefly but clearly shows both of his eyes as purple. The other shots that show him with one blue eye stay on screen longer. I expect this is a replacement for Ami showing up to call his blue eye "fake-looking", as far as foreshadowing goes.
  • The shots of Kazuto smiling that pretty much show only his chin mirror the similar shots of Kirihiko making creepy smirks in ep 16, minus the creepy factor.
  • And then Karin makes eel gratin that makes you act drunk. So drunk, in fact, that Kazune's not even bugged by a bug passing by. The most likely explanation is that she used wine for flavoring but failed to cook the alchohol out entirely (despite the food being burnt black... maybe she put it in after cooking).

Analysis and Speculah[edit | edit source]

Micchi's ring lighting up for Kazuto's death could indicate a reaction to the Zeus ring (used on that day both to split Himeka and, it's heavily implied, to kill Kazuto). Or it could indicate Kazuto's mind/soul was uploaded into the ring at that time, as later episodes imply.

Since it lit up yellow as usual rather than blue, this either means that it wasn't in relation to Kazuto (and blue is his color), or that the blue light in 24 was in relation to Micchi's water-based powers.
